1. INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains how the Geography Trivia game for iPhone and iPad ("the App") handles information. It applies only to the App. The privacy policy of the efegerek.com website is a separate document.
In short
- There are no accounts and we do not ask for your name, email or any other personal details.
- Your game progress is stored only on your device.
- Leaderboards and duels use Apple's Game Center, which Apple operates. We run no servers for them.
- Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which collects some device and usage data to show and measure ads.
- The only purchase, Remove Ads, is handled entirely by Apple.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We, the developer, do not collect, receive, store or sell personal information through the App. The App has no sign-up, no account, no server of its own and no analytics tools of our own. The sections below describe the data that stays on your device and the third-party services the App uses.
4. GAME PROGRESS AND SETTINGS
Your progress (best scores, how much of each region you have mastered, the questions you missed for practice, your daily challenge results and streak, your duel record and saved runs) and your settings are stored only on your device. They are not sent to us and are not synced to iCloud, so they do not move between devices. You can erase them at any time in the App under Settings → Reset Progress, and deleting the App deletes them.
5. GAME CENTER
Leaderboards, Quick Duel, Live Duel and friend challenges use Apple's Game Center. Game Center is optional; every quiz mode works without it. If you are signed in to Game Center:
- Your scores are submitted to the Game Center leaderboards (Speed Round this week and all time, Daily Challenge and Duel Wins) and shown with your Game Center name.
- In Quick Duel, your run (the questions, your answers, answer times and score, with your Game Center name and player ID) is saved as turn-based match data in Game Center so another real player can race it. In Live Duel, your answers and score are sent to your opponent in real time through Game Center.
- Other players can see your Game Center display name and photo, and you can see theirs.
- Friend challenges are sent through Game Center or Messages, only when you choose to send one.
Game Center is operated by Apple and covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not run servers for these features, and we do not collect or store your Apple Account details, your Game Center profile or your match data. You can manage your Game Center profile, friends and visibility in iOS Settings → Game Center.
6. ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB)
The App shows ads provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited): a banner at the bottom of some screens and a full-screen ad between games, shown at most once every 60 seconds. The quizzes can be played offline; ads are only loaded when your device is connected to the internet. To deliver ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the App may collect:
- Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking, and other app-scoped identifiers
- IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location
- Information about the ads you see and how you interact with them
- Diagnostic information such as crash logs and performance data
6.1. Tracking permission
After you finish your first game, iOS asks whether the App may track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you decline, your advertising identifier is not shared and ads are less personalized. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
6.2. Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
In these regions the App asks for your consent through Google's consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are shown. You can review or change your choice in the App under Settings → Privacy Choices (this option is shown only where consent applies).
6.3. Remove Ads
The optional Remove Ads purchase permanently turns off all ads in the App, both the banner and the ads shown between games.
Google processes this data as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
7. IN-APP PURCHASES
The only purchase in the App is Remove Ads, a one-time (non-consumable) purchase. It is processed by Apple through the App Store, and we never see your payment details. Apple only confirms to the App that you own it so it can be unlocked and restored (Settings → Restore Purchases). Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
8. LEGAL BASIS
Where the GDPR or Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) applies, personalized advertising relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time as described in section 6. Storing your progress on your device is necessary to provide the game you asked for, and Game Center features are used only when you choose to sign in and play them.
9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Google and Apple may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union, under their own safeguards.
10. DATA RETENTION
We hold no personal data about you. Data on your device remains until you reset your progress or delete the App. Data collected by Google, and Game Center and purchase data held by Apple, are kept according to their own retention policies.
11. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because we don't hold personal data about you, requests concerning advertising data are best made to Google, and requests about Game Center or purchases to Apple. 12. CHILDREN
Geography Trivia is a game for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will help remove it.
13. SECURITY
Progress data is protected by your device's security. Game Center data is protected by Apple, and purchase information is verified through Apple's signed transactions.
14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Significant changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
